#1 ranked undergrad entrepreneurship program lends its resources for the four-day virtual hackathon

4 Day Founder (4DF) is launching its inaugural national four-day startup hackathon on February 18–21, 2021 in partnership with the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship (WCE). The event will take place virtually for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) college and university students across the nation to participate in. In just a weekend, selected students will experience developing an idea into a startup.

“This is a chance for us to build partnerships with other schools and come together to support future BIPOC entrepreneurs,” Viviane Nguyen, Lead Organizer of 4 Day Founder and a WCE alumni, states.

The four-day event will be supplemented with Seminars and Panel Discussions with experienced entrepreneurs and will culminate in a virtual pitch competition for The Grand Prize. Interested college students can fill out an application on the event website. For more information, please contact 4 Day Founder at 4dayfounder@gmail.com.

All proceeds and donations will go towards a Founder Investment Fund for small businesses and startups that are majority owned (51% or more) by one or more BIPOC founders. For those interested in getting involved, whether by volunteering, mentoring, donating or sponsoring, further information can be found on the website.

“With the on-going pandemic, this is the perfect time for new ideas and innovation,” Amanda Moya, Program Manager at WCE says. “We can’t wait to see what the students come up with.”
